A. Christina (Stia) Giannini is an internationally
recognized costume designer. Audiences around the world have enjoyed costumes and scenery
designed by Stia. Her excellence in design has been accorded critical acclaim and
recognized with international awards.

Artist
Choreographers describe her dance designs as
"painterly" and "strongly emotionally evocative." Her design
philosophy is to integrate the costume with the director's choreography to create works
that are sculptural and complement the dancer's movement and the set. With her broad base
of experience in a global artistic arena, she has been compelled frequently to accomplish
stunning results with limited budgets and resources.
Award Winning
Stia has twice won the Venezuelan Oscar for Design, most
recently with her designs for the 1996 Ballet National de Caracas' production of the
"Nutcracker," choreographed by Vincente Nebrada.
